One of the wonderful things about working with the healthcare community is how deep the word “care” runs through everything we believe in. Our care for whole patient health and ensuring the best possible outcomes. Our care for professionalism – doing the best job possible with utmost precision, in the least amount of time, while being fiscally responsible. Our care for the greater community, because we are in this together advocating for a better quality of life for all.
Over the years, Acart has had the honour of growing healthy and productive relationships with individuals across the healthcare community. Last year, one of our former clients who is now retired, Mark Scullino, contacted us for some help and advice.
Mark knew well how successful our shelving systems are at organizing belongings and getting the most out of limited space. As a member of the local Merrickville Legion, Mark asked us for a donation of shelving units to help organize the inventory area in their Legion’s headquarters. Their storage room was a disorganized mess with items randomly distributed across the space on makeshift shelves, on the floor, even on the window sills. Meanwhile, the Legion’s annual poppy drive was approaching; they needed to get ready.
We were delighted to pitch in by providing several easy-to-assemble shelves to house the Legion’s belongings. Thanks to the shelves and the Legion’s newfound organization, last year’s poppy drive was a great success.
“With all our equipment organized and in place, it was so much easier to plan and execute our last poppy drive,” said Mark. “I would like to thank Katie Flynn and the Acart team for their kind donation of shelving, casters, organizing bins and wall plates for the bins, and for helping to make the drive so much easier to plan and organize.”
