This week, we received an amazing testimonial from the Merrickville Food Cupboard about the difference Acart’s latest shelving donation is making for their volunteers and the families they serve.
Our donated 24-by-24-inch shelving unit now gives the team a place to display perishable food. Before, volunteers spent countless hours preparing “good food boxes” because there wasn’t a suitable space to display these items.
“Now they can display which saves time for volunteers to complete other tasks,” they shared.
Additional shelves in three existing units have also helped bring more food out of storage, giving families more choice and making it easier to see what’s available.
What may look like a small change in a photograph means so much in their daily work. Their message captured it best:
“Every small shelf unit or shelf addition as a result of your donations, means more product donated and on the shelves.”
Knowing that our donations help volunteers make better use of their time and give families more choice means a great deal to us. These words made the testimonial even more special:
“I know when people are genuinely engaged and the Acart Team is.”
A special thank you to Mark Scullino for his thoughtful words. A hospital supply chain expert who was an Acart customer before retiring, Mark now generously gives his time and expertise to community causes like the Merrickville Food Cupboard.
Thank you to the Merrickville Food Cupboard for sharing this heartfelt testimonial. We’re thankful for the opportunity to support our community and help make a difference for local families.
